Introduction

Hi, my name is Danielle Mansell. This is the first time I've ever done blogging and I'm not really sure how to do it, but I guess I'll just get the hang of it as I go. Awhile ago my group members Paulina Patruno, Kayla Ehrhardt, and I have decided to do a magazine layout as our foundation portfolio. Today in class we discussed the theme of the magazine and title. Our teacher was explaining to us what we needed for our magazine and I was extremely confused at first. I asked several questions that at one point I felt I was being annoying, but I finally got everything cleared up. I was confused on what she meant by we all needed different issues of the magazine because I thought we all did one magazine together. I realized that we needed the same magazine company, but different issues for the magazine, such as, a holiday edition or summer edition. That's when my group got inspired.

Instead of doing a monthly subscription to our magazine, which is pretty basic for magazine companies and popular, we agreed on doing a seasonal subscription. This makes our magazine unique and increases the anticipation for people waiting for the next issue to be released getting them more excited and anxious. I have decided to do the summer issue, while Kayla does the fall issue, and Paulina does the winter issue. Together we brainstormed the idea of doing a fitness/healthy eating magazine that we call "Healthy eats". It took us awhile to come up with a title until Kayla came up with this brilliant one. We started brainstorming ideas for all our issues. For example, fruit popsicles in the summer and yoga on the beach, new fitness tips for the new year, or healthy alternative Halloween snacks that are still delicious.

I am really excited about these ideas and can't wait to get started on this magazine. I'll talk to you guys later.
